The directorate of Government analytical laboratory under the ministry of internal affairs is stranded with about 1500 criminal cases due to lack of reagents to undertake forensic analysis.

The director in charge of this directorate Kepher Kuchana Kateu says without them doing investigations of the cases, the courts of law will not be able to dispose of the cases related to poison and criminal and paternity DNA without getting evidence.

Kepher told the committee of defense and internal affairs chaired by Mubende woman MP Ben Namugwanya that they need over 1.5 billion shillings to conduct the investigations.
