Over 1000 students of Gulu University have been suspended following Wednesday violent strike.
The students mainly from the faculty of education and humanity set ablaze the university multipurpose hall protesting delayed of release of examination results.
The disgruntled students claim, they said result were to be released in December last year.
Gulu University deputy spokesperson Mohammed Kharid acknowledges the delay which he attributes to the absence of an assistant academic registrar.
He adds that the administration has also resolved to suspend the examination s that were due to take place next week on Monday.
