UGANDA: Church embarks on demarcating land and constructing a wall fence to protect the land from grabbers.

The Bishop of Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Kahuma has decried the rampant grabbing of church land in the diocese and called upon Christians to move very fast in ensuring all land belonging to the church is clearly demarcated and tittled.
Bishop Kahuma made this call during service where he confirmed 109 members into Christianity.
In his sermon to Christians at Parajwoki C.O.U Parish, in  Hoima Municipality, over the weekend, the bishop quoted the Book of Numbers (Chapter 34)where God commanded the Israelites to demarcate the boundaries of the land he had given to them.
His calls comes after the Entebbe archdeaconry was land housing St. Mark Church Namate was on the verge of being taken by the state.  The state had wanted to give land away to construct a Mahatma Gandhi memorial which the church objected to.
The church has now embarked on demarcating the land and constructing a wall fence to protect the land from grabbers.
