The Catholic church has confirmed that about eighteen couples will deliver offertory during the apostolic mass at Namungongo Martyrs shrine to be led by the pope Francis. The Papal visit publicity committee chair man Bishop Franzelli says four selected people including two children, a boy and girl will then hand the offertory over to the pope.
The pontiff arrived in Kenya on Wednesday at the start of his African visit. The holy father was warmly welcomed Kenyan style with ululating crowds and excited religious personalities. The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta received the high profile guest.
The pope is expected to arrive in Uganda on Friday, which has not been declared a public holiday
