More than 350 people have so far turned up for free treatment at an ongoing health camp at Buwambo health centre IV in Wakiso district.

The three day Health camp that started today and ends Wednesday has been organized by NGO called Bulamu Health Care International in partnership with Peace Corps Uganda to extend free treatment for various diseases to people who cannot afford medical services.

The Project coordinator Bulamu Health Care International Dan Morris says many of the patients who have so far turned up at Buwambo Health center suffered from malaria, high blood pressure, diabetes, sickle cells and hernia among others.

He says they are also providing scanning for cervical cancer as well as free treatment for eye, ear and nose diseases.
