KABALE: HEAVY SECURITY DETAIL DEPLOYMENT AHEAD OF DR. KIIZA BESIGYE

There is heavy deployment in Kabale town a head of the appearance of 5 opposition leaders led by Dr. Kiiza Besigye the former Forum for Democratic Change party presidential candidate before the chief magistrate court for inciting violence.

The others include embattled city mayor Elias Lukwago, Kawempe south MP elect Mubarak Munyagwa, Ingrid Tulinawe FDC mobiliser, Rukungiri municipality MP Roland Kajinda and western FDC chairperson Imam Makumbi.

The politicians are accused of inciting violence during their rally in Kabale municipality stadium in 2012.

Prosecution claims Besigye and others injured 4 police officers vandalized 3 police vehicles and are expected to appear before Kabale chief magistrate Angatonica Mbabazi.

This morning police have deployed several patrol vehicles and water canon along major roads in Kabale municipality and several police officers deployed near FDC offices at Hamura house along Kabale, Katuna road where the party member's held players for free my vote.

Hilary Bindeba Kabale district police commander says deployment is normal to keep people and its belonging.
