Demarcation of the Vura boarder along the Uganda –Congo boarder has been launched.  The exercised was launched by State minister for lands Sam Engola witnessed by Uganda's ambassador to Kinshasha James Kinobe and other Congolese official from Oriental province.

Minister Engola said clear demarcation of the border with pillars will help to avoid conflicts, and will cost government more than 90 million shillings.  The minister appeals to the communities to cooperate with the surveyor, as they demarcated the boundaries.

Last year Uganda closed its boarder at Vura which was used as an export route to DR Congo via West Nile after Congolese officials tried to claim part of the boarder deeper inside Uganda’s territory.
