Police has clarified heavy deployment around the city saying that it’s intended to ensure that the swearing in ceremony scheduled next week on 12th will go on well.

The inspector General of police Gen Kale Kayihura said the joint security operation forces is back on streets of Kampala a head of swearing in. It is also intended to prevent the planned sabotage of the swearing in ceremony by Forum for Democratic Change members.

The joint security operation force doubles as measure that has been taken after the country received terror alert by Al-shabab on Entebbe Airport and government installation.

Kayihura said that the president was validly elected and cleared by the supreme court adding that  any planned protests by the FDC are illegal and unconstitutional.

The inspector General of police cautions the public especially the youth not to involve in illegal activities and anybody arrested will face court of law.
