Over 60 flying squad operatives dropped

The inspector general of police Okoth Martin Ochola has dropped over 60 operatives formally working with Flying squad unit.

The commissioner in charge of human resource at the directorate of CID Fred Enanga says  the officers formally attached to the unit are undergoing rectification.

Enanga added that on 15th May a total of 280 flying squad operatives were ordered to report to CID Kibuli for vetting but only 274 reported.

He further said that 60 operatives were dropped because of their bad record.

He adds that the director CID Grace Akullo vetting the former officers to have those with poor truck record sent to the professional standards unit.

In other news ASP Mbonipa Emmanuel former detective attached to media desk at CID headquarters Kibuli has been reverted to general duties deployed to human resource pending deployment.
