Three people were last night killed as suspected robbers attacked Bishop McAlister College - Kyogyera in Bushenyi District. The dead include two security guards identified as Mbaine Paulina and Herbert Mugabe and a cook only identified as Tumusiime.
Caleb Twinamasiko, the school head teacher says the attackers arrived at the school at around 2:30am and proceeded to the bursar's officer after killing the persons found on site. They took off with an unspecified amount of money.
Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Commander Michael Musani told Uganda Radio Network that investigations into the attack are underway.
A group of parents had rushed to the school after getting the news of the attack. Some of them were demanding to be allowed to take their children home but this was not granted by the school authorities.
The unease at the school forced the school to call off the morning lessons.
