The Civil Aviation Authority –CAA has been accused of frustrating investment in the aviation sector.

Captain Mike Mukula the proprietor and Chairman board of Uganda Aviation School says private investments in Aviation Sector have failed to pick up due to inadequacies and complacency culture at CAA.

According to Captain Mukula,  the school inception in 2013, CAA has refused to give them Air Operating certificates that allow the school to conduct ground and air training for their students. He adds that many players in the aviation sector are facing similar frustrations.

“CAA does not recognize efforts made by indigenous investors in the aviation sector . This renders the industry redundant to Ugandan nationals and a clear gate way for alternative investment destinations for foreign investors that get frustrated with the bureaucratic barriers created b the Authority”

Capt. Mukula told the media in Kampala on Tuesday
