Court sends Pastor Makumbi's accuser back to jail

Mukasa Joseph charged  with defaming the profession of Bishop Patrick Makumbi  of Gospel healing center Lweza  has been remanded back Luzira prison until the 6th of July 2017.

Makindye court grade one magistrate Allan Gakyaalo this morning ordered  Bishop Makumbi the complainant  to appear in court that day with his  his witnesses to testify against Mukasa after setting the hearing date.

Mukasa also known as Kato a resident of Kalagala  in Kiboga district was remanded to Luzira prison by chief Magistrate Elias Kakooza on the 5th of June for  claiming that pastor Makumbi is a fraudster who concocts miracles.

He however denied the charges.

Prosecution led by  Happiness Ainebyona states that between February  and March 2017 while appearing  at various local Radio and TV stations within Kampala district,   Mukasa a peasant from Kiboga district uttered statements to the effect that Bishop Makumbi stole his genitals (Testicles)  and ate them in away  of practicing cannibalism.

That the said statements were made with an intention of ridiculing and  defaming the profession of Bishop Makumbi within the right thinking members of society.

The suspect first went missing forcing his relatives to declare him missing before appearing in court.
