The Electoral commission officially struck Theodore Ssekikuubo off the National gazette of elected members of parliament.

This follows Thursday’s court order to the commission to immediately de-gazette Ssekikuubo. The order was issued by Justice Samuel Munobe of Masaka chief magistrate’s court.

Nkalubo Patrick who contested for the same seat sued the Electoral commission in protest of Electoral results that gave the Ssekikuubo a win for Rwemiyaga County in Sembabule district.

Justice Munobe also ordered the electoral commission to apologize to the Nation for wrongfully declaring Ssekikubo an Elected member of parliament.

Electoral commission spokesperson Jotham Talemwa has confirmed that Hon. Ssekikuubo has been removed from the newly elected members of parliament gazette.
