"It’s an advocative play emotionally and I like the fact that we’ve presented it in the way it could be presentable to kids and show them that not everything is fair in this world, yes we have this freedom but it didn’t come from above and then given to us it was worked for," said Rania Janat, who played the lead role Sarafina. "To be that character is amazing."

Yvette Precious who took on the role of Mrs Masumbuka said that it was fun being the character adding that it has highly impacted her whole life and currently more than ready to fight for freedom.

Other principal cast members included Mara Nathaniel as Lieutenant Bloem, Muwanguzi Daniel as Principal, Maria Keziah as Sarafina’s mother, Ata Muhiire as Crocodile, Constance Ndagire as Teacher, and Alex Murungi as Priest among others.

Under the production team, Teri Kaddu was the Director, and Kesiime Sandra her  Co-Director.
