FDC AND POLICE STAND OFF

The inspector general of police Gen Kale Kayihura has cautioned Forum for Democratic Change-FDC members and Dr. Kizza Besigye to stop their Tuesday and Thursday activities as planned before facing the law.

Gen Kayihura while addressing media at police headquarters says FDC should comply to the interim order issued by constitution court to stopping all activities aimed at sabotaging swearing in ceremony on 12th May 2016.

Kayihura warned that independent Audit is unlawful, and also demonstrations misusing the players will not also accepted.

He warned them a head of 5th May demonstration and Processions from FDC offices Najjanankumbi using Entebbe highway to Nakivubo Blue primary school that police is not ready to see them paralyze traffic along Entebbe road.

Kayihura asked FDC members to go back to courts of law to over turned court orders.

Police is heavily deployed at the Forum for democratic change head offices to block the on going FDC defiance prayers.

According to the DPC Katwe police station Misson Samuel, they have heavily deployed combat and non combat staff to block the press team accessing FDC offices at Najjanankumbi and non-staffs. Only those with FDC identity cards are allowed in.
