Government has allocated 174 billion shillings to support the second phase of Senior Citizen Fund, a project set up to improve the livelihoods of the elderly.
According to state minister for Gender, Peace Mutuuzo, more districts will benefit from the funding in the next five years.
Under the program each person receives s 25,000 shillings every month.
