Headteacher killed and dumped in Eucalyptus tree plantation in Kabale

Kabale Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the killing of Bernard Mugisha, the head teacher Bugarama Primary School in Buhara Sub County.
Mugisha's lifeless body was recovered from an eucalyptus tree plantation on Kihumuro hill in Kihumuro cell in Rushaki ward in Southern Division of Kabale Municipality on Saturday afternoon.
Annet Arinaitwe, the Deputy Head Teacher of Bugarama Primary School, says Mugisha left school on Friday to withdraw money from Equity Bank but didn't return.

According to Arinaitwe, they were shocked when they received a phone call from one of the residents, notifying them that Mugisha had been killed.

Ely Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, says preliminary information shows that Mugisha hired a boda boda rider to take him home after completing his bank transaction.
He however, says Mugisha was later found dead with several cuts on the neck and his hand tied.

Sabitti Kenneth Baabo, the Kabale District Education Officer has condemned the incident and called upon security agencies to ensure the assailants are apprehended and prosecuted.
