High court Judge no longer interested

The Directorate of Public Prosecution has dropped charges of 17 suspects in the killings of Muslim clerics in the country.

Principal Senior State Attorney Lino Anguzu has told High court Judge Duncan Gaswaga that the Director of Public Prosecution-DPP was no longer interested in the case of the 17 suspects.

They are Aisha Kasibante a relative of  Dr.Aggrey Kiyingi, Muzamiru Kasawuli, Serunjogi Arafat Okoy Alex, Olanya Joseph, Okidi Charles,  Mubaje Arajab, Mutanda Isa, Haji Byamukama Abdul Ratif, Ssemogerere Asadu, Kibirige Solomon, Wadwali Safiyi, Yusufu Ssentamu, Muhammad Kaloddo, Ismail Ssentong and Bampiki Robert.

This now leaves 14 people still charged with the Muslim clerics murder led by Tabliq head Sheikh Yunus Kamoga.

They are charged with Murder, attempted Murder, terrorism and crimes against humanity. They committed the offence between 2014 and 2015 January.
