IGP SENDS SENIOR POLICE OFFICERS ON A ONE YEAR FRESHER COURSE

Police chief Gen Kale Kayihura has sent senior police officers across the country for one year fresher course at police senior staff college in Bwebajja.

The new long list of senior police officers going for an intermediate course followed a massive police reshuffle that saw senior police officers in Kampala Metropolitan lose their offices to junior officers.

Notable among senior police officers going for the one year Intermediate course include;

  • ACP Herbert Muhangi the Flying Squad commander,
  • ACP Polly Namaye the deputy police publicist,
  • ACP Silagi Bakaleke the RPC Kampala East,
  • ACP James Ruhweza the KMP operations commander,
  • Acp Sam Omara,
  • Hassan Kihanda the Fire and Rescue operations commander,
  • David Manzi the commandant Parliament police,
  • Apollo Kateeba RPC Albertine region,
  • Buruhan Zirabamuzale staff officer KMP,
  • Mark Odongo commandant CiID Kireka,
  • SSP Nixon Agasirwe the commander of Gen Kayihura's Special Operations Unit whose police number has been protested among other officers.

The officers are expected to undergo senior command course, force leadership skills and widen range of their understanding with the help of different scholars from within and outside the country.
