Minister for Gender, labour and social development, Hajati Janet Mukwaya, has asked the ministry of ICT to have immediate solution on reducing taxes imposed on social media Apps being used by people with disability as as a necessity for their daily work.
According to her, since the inception of this tax few days’ back, quite number of persons with disability are raising complaints to the ministry of gender on how the tax is affecting their daily work and communication.
Minister made the call during the launch of Uganda commitments for inclusion of persons with disabilities in the country's development agenda.
