By Robert Segawa

The lord Mayor Elias Lukwago criticizes the directive by KCCA minister Betty Olive Kamya to have vendor's evicted from the city as part of efforts to address the issues of trade order in the city.

The minister Betty Kamya announced the burn advising the hawkers to occupy the empty stalls in Market around Kampala.

Lukwago who was addressing the media at city hall after meeting with division mayors and councilors said the minister should respect KCCA leader's because they have the mandate to run the city on behalf of the government.

He argues that the directive come in when authority leader's were still conducting consultative meeting to cater for vendors before they evicting them.

According to Lukwago KCCA  will hold another meeting on Monday next week to decide on area's should be gazzeted for vendors as they look for permanent solutions asking the minister to suspend her orders pending their decision.
