Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has been summoned to appear before Makindye magistrate's to answer charges of disobeying lawful orders.
Lukwago was expected to appear in court early this month but was halted by police which had surrounded his home following the arrest of opposition leader,Kiiza Besigye .
The principal state attorney Happiness Ainebyoona has now prompted the order for 8th July without fail.
Lukwago , Pastor Happy Ngabo and Makerere University researcher, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, are charged with disobeying lawful orders.
The said orders were issued by the deputy Chief Justice Steven Kavuma banning Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party from holding activities related to the defiance campaign launched by the former presidential candidate, Col. Kizza Besigye.
