The Court of appeal has reinstated National Resistance Movement's Lillian Nakate as the validly elected Luweero Woman Member of Parliament.
Three justices led by deputy chief justice Steven Kavuma have overturned the high court decision that had nullified Nakate's elections on grounds of voter bribery and non compliance with electoral laws after DPs Brenda Nabukenya challenged her victory.
The court of appeal has however ruled that Nabukenya failed to prove allegations of voter bribery and non compliance with electoral laws.
The court of appeal has also ordered Nabukenya to pay Nakate costs of the case.
