Nambooze's case adjourned

The Nakawa court magistrate has adjourned the case in which Mukono member of parliament Betty Nambooze is accused of incitement to violence. The legislator returns to court on 8th October since she did not turn up in time for the hearing.

The case has been adjourned by grade 1 magistrate court Jacqueline Kagoda.

It alleged that Nambooze incited members of  the public to commit offense against government officials.

She pleaded not guilty and was released on non cash bail 5  millions shillings and ordered to return to court today to check on state of police inquiries which is on going.

Court today convened in her absence but her lawyer Abdallah Kiwanuka informed the magistrate that Nambooze is on her way to court.
