New campaign aimed at reusing trash

Environmentalists have launched a fresh campaign dubbed clean Uganda aimed at renewing commitment by communities to have proper sanitation across the country.

The campaign is aimed at turning waste generated in communities into proper use as a better way of preventing littering.

The targeted forms of waste  include organic waste, plastic waste, metal waste and others that can be re used to generate money in communities in form of recycling.

the campaign that is targeting community leaders is  targeting communities to embrace use of organic waste which is generated daily organic waste has been targeted to be re used in gardens both in forms

The campaign being piloted in Fort  portal municipality and later to other towns is targeting to have municipalities and communities embrace good sanitation and cleanliness by 2021.

Kenneth Tumusiime a waste management consultant is now urging religious leaders, political leaders to encourage communities to use garbage as a resource for their personal use.
