Police denies claims of South Africa Interpol demanding Semwanga's body to be exhumed

By Robert Segawa
Police  has denied reports that the  Interpol branch from South Africa has written to Uganda about having the remains of  late Ivan Ssemwanga's body exhumed.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, Kasingye said there has never been any request from South Africa in relation to the matter.
He said that in any case it would be Interpol headquarters in France to write to Uganda and not their counterparts from South Africa directly.
He also noted that there's no way that authorities from South Africa who had cleared the body to Uganda wish to have it exhumed.
Meanwhile  Police directorate of Interpol is in final stages of establishing boarder monitoring units to support the already existing fight against cross boarder crimes.
