Public asked to report medics who sell transfusion blood

By Robert Segawa

The Uganda blood transfusion services has asked the public to report doctors and hospitals that ask for money in exchange of  blood for patients .

This follows overwhelming complaints from the public that government and private hospital's are forcing them to buy blood.

The senior nursing officer at the blood bank Joan Odyek says that all hospitals are supposed to offer blood to all those in need  free of charge because the people who donate it all do it willingly.

He further asked the public to report the matter to blood bank and bring the culprit to book.
