The Uganda law society calls on the judiciary to exercise the independence expected of it to dispense justice without fear and favor, as they handle politically motivated disputes.

Addressing a press conference at the society headquarters in Kampala today the president Uganda law society Francis Gimara says they have realized some pressure coming from Government to the judiciary to handle disputes that would require political solution rather than

legal solution.

According to Gimara the society asks the key stake holders to seriously consider the option of dialogues means of resolving the political disputes.

He was giving a statement on the recent events impacting on the rule of law.
