The public is advised to avoid shaking hands following the outbreak of Red Eye disease in the northern district of Gulu.
The disease has so far affected 798 people in the district with most affected in Gulu main prison, Pece prison, Gulu remand home and Gulu Main police station.
Ministry of Health spokesperson Vivian Nakaliika says people should also wash hands with soap to avoid contracting the disease.
