Chris Brown released on bail after arrest over alleged assault with deadly weapon

Chris Brown has been released from police custody after being arrested Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, tweeted early Wednesday morning that the musician had been released, adding, “The allegations against him are demonstrably false.”

The arrest at Brown’s Los Angeles home took place after a nearly 14-hour standoff, the Associated Press reported, and ended when police obtained a search warrant to enter the residence.

A guest at Brown’s home, Baylee Curran, said that he pointed a gun at her face after he became angry when she complimented another man’s diamond necklace, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Police did not confirm any of the details surrounding the alleged altercation.

Police described Brown as being “cooperative,” and did not confirm if they recovered any weapons from his home.

Brown was released on $250,000 bail at 11:19 p.m. local time, according to jail records. His next court date is set for Sept. 20.

LAPD arrived at the scene after receiving a call from a woman needing assistance at around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Brown, 27, denied any wrongdoing via social media, inviting police to obtain the warrant.

“You’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing,” he said in a video posted to his Instagram.

The investigation was transferred to the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide division because of its high profile status.

After police served the warrant, Brown and his guests were brought outside while authorities did a protective sweep.

Police said all occupants would be interviewed about the incident.

Brown’s representatives did not immediately respond to ABC News’s request for comment.

Chris Brown’s baby mama loses child custody case

Chris Brown annihilated his baby mama in custody court … she lost so bad the judge ordered her to pay Chris back for the attorney fees he fronted her.

Sources connected to Chris tell us, Nia Guzman struck out on every single request regarding custody of 2-year-old Royalty. Nia wanted full custody — DENIED. She wanted Chris to have monitored visitation — DENIED. She wanted to deny Chris’ mom the right to see the kid — DENIED. She wanted Chris to submit to drug tests — DENIED.

The judge maintained the status quo — joint custody. Chris continues to get Royalty 12 days a month.

When Nia filed her legal docs asking for a change in custody the judge ordered Chris to pay her $20k so she could afford a lawyer. But she lost so hard, the judge said Nia wasn’t entitled to the money and gave Chris a credit.

There was supposed to be a separate hearing on child support. Nia is currently getting $2,500 a month from Chris but she wanted nearly $16k. Nia has now dismissed her support petition.

Legal home run, Chris.

Beating Rihana was hard on Chris Brown too

Chris Brown thought about taking his own life after assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

“I felt like a f–king monster,” the singer revealed in the trailer for his upcoming documentary, “Welcome to My Life.” “I was thinking about suicide and everything else. I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating. I was just getting high.”

Following a heated argument ahead of the 2009 Grammy Awards, Brown, 26, got physically violent with Rihanna, 28, whose face was left severely bruised from the incident. The R&B crooner was charged with a felony, and the assault forever tarnished his image.

“That was the worst day of my life and probably his life,” Brown’s mom, Joyce Hawkins, shared in the clip. “I felt like I was going to lose my child.”

Despite his fall from grace, Brown hopes to get his career back on track.

“If there was ever a doubt in your mind that Chris Brown was done, he was finished … I wouldn’t bet on it,” he said.

Chris brown denies claims that he caused his daughter asthma by smoking weed

Chris Brown is infuriated after his baby mama, Nia Guzman, claimed he’s a bad influence on their daughter, Royalty. In fact, she believes their daughter has developed asthma as a result of him exposing the toddler to an “extreme amount of secondhand smoke,” according to TMZ. But Chris says that is “absolutely untrue.” And he unleashed on Nia in a lengthy Instagram rant that he has since deleted. See it here!

“Absolutely untrue. I quit cigarettes on New Years. NO ONE smokes around my daughter. This is obviously a play to get some sort of increased income. I take care of my daughter and would never ever put her in a position that will harm her. I’m so sick and tired of negative people trying to use me and slander me. All this annoying bs, everybody knows what they do in these street. My daughter is my pride and joy and I will not be played because my lifestyle is different from the other parties involved. This really has to stop.

My daughter is the youngest in her class and the most advanced. My mother and I have made sure my daughter is constantly learning and being creative as well as her safety. I won’t do the back and forth negative things so I’ll just say god bless whoever is struggling and needs to use me to better their life even though I fulfill my duties as a father,” Chris wrote in a lengthy Instagram rant before deleting it shortly after posting on Jan. 31.

Despite Chris’ statement, Nia told TMZ that when Royalty returns from a visit with him, she usually reeks of smoke. In legal documents, she has expressed her worry that Chris is “abusing drugs and has relapsed.” Nia wants to restrict his visitation with Royalty, asking a judge to force him to hire a full-time nanny or not allow Chris to be around the child. Nia also wants Chris to have to take random drug tests. Furthermore, she’s demanding more child support. At this time, she receives $2,500 a month, but she wants at least $16,000.
