Black Panther actor on the spot over leaked old nudes

Zambian-born Black Panther actor Patrick Shumba Mutukwa has expressed embarrassment after a video of him posing naked spread on social media.

“Recently there was an unsavory video released of Shumba Mutukwa to the Zambian public from his 20s,” his publicist Larrissa Long said in a statement published by the Lusaka Times.

However, she said stories that he starred in gay porn were inaccurate.

“He is not now, nor was he ever a gay porn actor,” Ms Long told BBC Africa Live.

The images have caused a huge storm in Zambia. Some have accused the actor of being “evil” and “satanic”,while others branded his critics as “hypocrites” who wanted to act “holier” than others, reports the BBC’s Kennedy Gondwe from the capital, Lusaka.

Ms Long told us he made the naked video for his former girlfriend.

“There was no one in the video with him. He is embarrassed by the actions of his youth but certainly has nothing to apologize for, as what he did was not illegal or harmful to anyone,” Ms Long said.

“He was a young man that made a choice not all may agree with,” she added.

In a statement, Shumba said that “we all make mistakes but know I will continue to bring pride to Zambia”.

After the images were widely circulated, he published a poem on his Facebook page mentioning regret.

Bobby Brown sues TV over misrepresentation in daughter’s biopic

Bobbi Kristina’s estate has joined forces with her father Bobby Brown to stop TV One from airing a biopic about his daughter’s short life.

The 48-year-old had already filed suit in a Manhattan Federal Court, claiming the portrayal of him as a bad dad is defamatory.

Bobbi Kristina’s estate has now joined the lawsuit, alleging the biopic violates her right to privacy, which it claimed survived her death at age 22, TMZ  revealed on Tuesday.

CPR performed by her fiance Nick Gordon kept Bobbi Kristina alive and she was placed in a coma for six months until doctors determined that her brain was irreversibly damaged.

She died in hospice care in Duluth, Georgia.

An autopsy revealed Bobbi Kristina drowned after consuming alcohol, cannabis and a prescription medication used for anxiety or sedation.

Three years earlier her mother Whitney Houston drowned in a bath in her Beverly Hills hotel room, aged 48, due to drug intoxication.

Bobby Brown, who now shares three children with wife  Alicia Etheredge, has already claimed in his lawsuit the movie falsely shows him as violent toward Whitney.

It also suggests that Bobbi Kristina witnessed the alleged abuse. He also claims scenes show him as an unloving father.

The estate and Bobby want more than $2 million in damages and they want the judge to stop TV One airing the show next month.

TV One isn’t backing down. It ‘stands by the film and its representation of this period in Bobbi Kristina’s life,’ the production company said in a statement to E! News.

Janet Jackson talks about her divorce and resuming world tour

Janet Jackson took to Twitter on Monday night to make several big announcements about her family and her return to the stage.

The new mother kicked off a minute-and-a-half long video by addressing her weight gain, but quickly moved on to gush about her three-month-old son Eissa Al Mana whose picture she recently shared on social media.
“Hey you guys, it’s me Jan, just in case you didn’t recognize me cause I have put on quite a few since I had the baby,” Jackson said. “I thank God for him, you guys. He’s so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.”
She also addressed her separation from her Qatari businessman husband, Wissam Al Mana, saying she wanted to “keep it real” with her fans.
“Yes, I separated from my husband,” Jackson said. “We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.”
Jackson then announced that she would be resuming her “Unbreakable” tour which she has renamed the “State of the World” tour.
“It’s not about politics,” she said of the name change. “It’s about people, the world, relationships and just love.”
Jackson postponed her tour first in 2015 for surgery and then in April 2016 as she and her husband planned their family.
She confirmed in October last year that she was becoming a mother at 50.
Jackson’s tour is scheduled to resume beginning with a concert September 7 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The superstar concluded the video by thanking her fans for their patience.
“I am so excited,” she said. “I cannot wait to see you on stage, September 7.”
Tickets for the rescheduled tour dates go on sale May 5.

My comment about Beyonce not being a good singer was misunderstood ~Santana

“I would like to clarify a comment that was reported when I was doing an interview for some upcoming shows in Australia & New Zealand,” he says.

Adding, “My intent was to congratulate Adele on her amazing night at the Grammies. My comment about Beyonce was regretfully taken out of context. I have the utmost respect for her as an artist and a person. She deserves all the accolades that come her way. I wish Beyonce and her family all the best. Carlos”

While some commenters agree with his stance or don’t feel he needed to respond to the interview, others think he should have addressed what was said about Beyonce’s singing abilities.

“Adele and Beyoncé have very different singing styles but to say that Beyoncé is not a singer is very disrespectful to her and all of the contributions that she has made to music,” said a Catherine White Walker. “Even if you believe the Grammys got it right no need to disrespect a fellow artist.”

Another person noted, “You’re still missing the point. Initially you denigrated and dismissed Beyoncé’s extraordinary vocal abilities, and reduced her as something to look at. As though her exceptional performance ability is an ‘instead of’ rather than ‘as well as’.”

No word from Adele or Beyonce’s camps.

If you’re wondering what that faint sound is, it’s the Beyhive attacking rock legend Carlos Santana for bold comments he made about Beyoncé’s singing abilities.

When asked by The New Zealand Herald why Adele won Best Song, Record and Album of the Year for 25 over Beyoncé’s Lemonade at the Grammys on Sunday, the Mexican-American guitarist concluded it’s about vocal prowess.

“I think that Adele won because she can sing, sing,” Santana said. “With all respect to our sister Beyoncé, Beyoncé is very beautiful to look at and it’s more like modeling kind of music — music to model a dress — she’s not a singer, singer, with all respect to her.”

“Adele can sing, sing. She doesn’t bring all the dancers and props, she can just stand there and she just stood there and sang the song and that’s it, and this is why she wins,” Santana, who has won 10 Grammy awards, added.

As Twitter noted during the show, there are many singers—Beyonce included—who can out-sing Adele. There is also an elevated experience concertgoers expect when attending shows. The fact that Adele deviates from the status quo is great, be doesn’t warrant accolades over someone who puts in the extra effort to deliver, time after time.

Here’s a thought. Carlos, it’s probably not about semantics and vocal ability. It’s about old-fashioned racism. And it’d be great if a fellow person of color confronted that and stop placating for White approval.

Nick Cannon’s TBT reminds us of Kim West’s less glam days

Nick Cannon must have been having some major Kim nostalgia this throwback Thursday. The 36 year-old entertainer posted a group shot of himself, Kim Kardashian, Lil Kim and Paris Hilton from an epic night out back in the day. If you find yourself asking how this mosh posh of star power came about, let us refresh your memory. Remember, Nick use to date reality TV star Kim back when she and Paris Hilton were besties? And who wouldn’t want to hang out with rapper Kim in the 2000s?

Anywho, we couldn’t help but notice the how completely different the Kims look. Two things we notice off the bat—Kim K’s lack of contour and Lil Kim’s (much) darker skin. Nick simply captioned the pic, “#tbt Whoa!!!” and we concur. Mrs. West has made no secret of getting botox, while Lil Kim has shyed away from skin bleaching rumors and other work she’s had done, but whether they deny it or not the proof is in the pic.

Check out the photo yourself for your own dose of nostalgia.

Ali Kiba might have scooped himself a Ugandan bae

Latest information we have is that AliKiba and this girl named Sharon Fabrinsnky are an item…and there’s proof to that.

Recently, a cozy photo of the two emerged online, sending tongues wagging on whether the two could actually be banging.

In the photo, the ‘Aje’ hit maker was seen shirtless in what seemed like a Hotel, while Sharon on the other hand, was clad in a simple dress.

By mere fact that Alikiba was shirtless, various snoops think he’s already enjoying the central fruits of Sharon who is a fast raising actress based in Kenya.

The insanely hot, dimpled and light skinned Sharon seems to be high in the clouds, as she now frequently litters her social media handles with photos and videos of Ali Kiba.
