Two government officials arrested over forged accountability of more than Ushs400M

Four government officials are in trouble over corruption and embezzlement of fund meant to resettle refugees.  Moses Papa a project finance officer in the office of the prime minister in Arua, John Arinaitwe a senior settlement commandant at the refuge desk at OPM Arua, Safina Nanono the program officer at OPM Kampala and Patrick Aziku Ochatre assistant settlement commandant at OPM Kampala were arrested by the Inspectorate of government.
 They are facing charges of abuse of office, embezzlement, causing financial loss, corruption and false accounting by public officer.  According to the charge sheet the four falsely accounted g for 498,886,000 that was meant for activities to resettle refugees,   withdrew 360,000,000 shillings from a government account and deposited on private personal accounts, and stole 70,000,000.
