One person has died and three others survived with severe injuries after three vehicles got involved in a road accident along Kampala -Jinja highway.
The accident happened after a trailer which that was carrying cement from Jinja side trying to overtake other vehicles knocked Fuso lorry from Lugazi side loaded to capacity of maize bags and another 3rd Tata lorry from Jinja rammed into them.
Israel Wambesyo the Sezibwa regional traffic police officer identified the deceased as John Kyangumya a turnman of Fuso registration UAQ 591T that was loaded with maize.
Wambesyo says those injured include Micheal Odoi a fuso driver, Hajj Nsamba the trailer driver and Aramanzani Mwase the driver of Tata lorry and are all receiving treatment at Kawolo hospital in Lugazi town council Buikwe district.
He says police is doing everything possible to remove car wreckage to enable free traffic flow.
