Seven people dead and twelve others injured in a fatal accident that occurred at Kimantwe village in Nakasongola district along Kampala- Gulu highway on Sunday.
According to Kasumba Kigundu the district police commander Nakasongola district the accident involved three cars including taxi registration number UBC 068B semi trailer number UAP 262P and fuel truck UAT 699H.
Kigundu explains that the driver of semi trailer who was heading to Lira district rammed into taxi which was coming to Kampala as was trying to over take fuel tank.
He adds that 7 people died instantly including 2 drivers and minor police was yet to establish their identity as the bodies taken to Masindi for postmortem.
Kigundu adds that the injured rushed to Mulago hospital where they are receiving treatment.
