Acidiri calls for more organized dissemination of youth funds

Maracha East Member of Parliament, James Acidri has asked Government to plan well for the youth fund in order solve unemployment among the youth.

The lawmaker noted that the approach by the president to distribute money among some youth groups is up dangerous and will not have a positive impact.

Acidiri says all the resources  being distributed should be put in the same basket in order to consolidate the response to youth employment .

The call comes at the time when president Museveni has been distributing money and commissioning youth projects in an effort to create jobs for the youth mainly in Kampala and Wakiso districts.

In April this year several individuals and groups from Rukungiri district were ordered to refund the money and items that had been donated by the President after they were found to have been wrongly

allocated the items.

In August, president Museveni donated 100 shillings million to Kamwokya ghetto based youth groups.

Because of poor monitoring of the youth revolving funds by Government officials at the district, many youth have failed to refund the money since they diverted it to organizing weddings and purchasing home

appliances while others used it to process documents to go and work overseas.
