Amelia Kyambadde clarifies on opening of wholesale shops

The Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Amelia Kyambadde has said that wholsale shops that were allowed to open are those that are selling essential commodities only.

Speaking about the new guidelines issued by the President, Kyambadde noted that specifically whole sale shops dealing in essential products such as Food stuffs, medicine, agriculture inputs and veterinary shops.

She also clarified that since garages were opened, spare parts shops will also to open to supply garages with the necessary equipment.

Kyambadde, however said that standard operating procedures must be adhered to in managing all the above operations
