Cussons Baby hasĀ  kicked off its "Share the Joy" campaign, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of baby skin care practices among Ugandan parents.

The campaign aims to equip mothers with the knowledge ind resources necessary to care for their babies' delicate skin. The campaign that will span 3 months, across the country aims to offer practical tips, expert consultations,and a platform for mothers to engage with pediatricians who understand the local health challenges faced by babiesĀ  in Uganda and ensure healthier, happier babies.

As part of the campaign Cussons has appointed Ugandans journalist ,mother and disciplined member of society Faridha Nakazibwe as Brand ambassador,to be part of the Nationwide campaign.

In Uganda neonatal skincare faces several unique challenges due to cultural beliefs and malpractices. Research highlights that mothers often have deeply rooted traditions around skincare, some of which can be beneficial but others potentially harmful increasing infection susceptibility to babies and kids.

For mothers, the early years of baby's life come with unique challenges, particularly in ensuring their little ones health and well-being.

From managing skin rashes to diaper irritations and general infant care, the 'complexities of raising babies aged 0-5 years are immense Recent research conducted by the Ministry of Health in Uganda shows that a large proportion of children under the age of five face various health challenges, Including skin conditions, nutritional issues, and overall growth delays.

A baby's skin is up to 30% thinner than an adult's, making it more susceptible to Skin-related problems,such as eczema, diaper rash, and allergic reactions to certain ingredients in baby skincare products, affect nearly I in 3 Ugandan children.

These conditions, if not properly managed can cause discomfort, infections, and long-term skin complications.

The tropical climate of Uganda further exacerbates these skin issues, highlighting the need tor proper education and access to baby-trendy products light of these findings, Cussons Baby Uganda is in a bid to ensure that the health and well-being of babies is every parent's top priority, and proper skin care plays a Crucial role in achieving this.
