- King Saha misses presidential debates
The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) Electoral Commission Committee postponed the 2022 elections from 23rd May to 6th June.
According to the letter shared on UMA's socials, the committee postponed the elections following pressure from the public citing that the process of voting was not credible enough to ensure a free and fair election.
In the letter, Geoffrey Ekongot the Chairman for UMA Electoral Commission explained that the elections were pushed forward to streamline the process.
Enkongot added that as an association, they recommend more time for candidates to understand the process.
Meanwhile King Saha missed the presidential debates that were slated for 20th and 21st May 2022.
The Association Electoral Commission confirmed that it had informed the three main candidates for the three presidential positions about the debate.
Surprisingly it was only Cindy Sanyu and Lord Bitem who came through ,King Saga didn't show up and when they tried to reach up to him through several means such as phone calls ,he didn’t pickup.
