Makerere university closes

Students and academic staff at Makerere university Fort Portal campus are being shifted to other government universities across the country.

Makerere university council has taken a decision to close the campus Fort Portal because of inadequate numbers of students compared to the cost of running the campus.

Dumba Ssentamu the vice chancellor Makerere University says the education programs at this campus have failed to attract people to join the campus.
