Pupil loses hand to a suspected bomb

There was panic at Mother Care primary school in Kagoma, Kawempe division after a pupil lost his arm to an object suspected to be a bomb.
It is reported that pupils who were going to school this morning picked the object from the garbage.
One of the unidentified pupilsĀ removed a pin while playing with it in classroom before it went off and cut his hand.
Luke Owoyesigire the police spokesperson for Kampala metropolitan says the object also injured another female pupil Joan Namakula in the face and were all rushed to mulago hospital for first aid.
Owoyesigire adds that police bomb squad has been dispatched to the place and cordoned off Kawempe Ku Lukadde to investigateĀ whether it was a bomb or teargas canister.
