Taxi drivers ordered to vacate the old park

The Minister for Kampala Betty Namisango Kamya has directed KCCA to issue a new notice to taxi drivers to vacate the old park which she says will be used for new developments as it was passed by the Cabinet

It should be noted that KCCA had earlier issued a notice to the taxi drivers and those illegally parking in this space to go to USAFI taxi park by 25th October which was resisted.

Minister Kamya today ordered KCCA to issue a new notice and she also asked the Kampala metropolitan police Commander to assist KCCA in enforcing this order.

Kamya also told taxi drivers that they cannot resist the directive which was passed by the cabinet.
