The authorities in Luwero district have arrested a 27-year-old woman following accusations of child torture against her own biological daughter, reportedly for stealing meat.
The woman in question has been identified as Nampiima Aisha a resident of Kiyenje zone within the Luwero town council.
Local residents witnessed the suspect, Nampiima Aisha, subjecting her four-year-old daughter; whose identity we shall not reveal because she is a minor, to distressing treatment, which involved burning, beating, and kicking.
These actions were purportedly in response to the accusation of meat theft.
According to Twineamazima Sam, the police spokesperson for the Savannah region, an area councilor reported the incident.
Consequently, the authorities swung into action, promptly arrested the suspect.
Meanwhile, the child , was transferred to Kasana Hospital for medical attention, where she is currently undergoing treatment and remains under observation.
