Close to  900 delegates who comprised the world’s leading telecommunication and ICT regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders attended the symposium.

The symposium provided a platform for conversations on emerging issues to strengthen the impact of regulation of the telecommunication and ICT sectors in the digital age.

Some of the issues raised ranged from cyber security, access and affordability of devices within the urban and rural communities, and environmental concerns among others.

Tayebwa says parliament will continue playing a supportive role in ensuring that the government fulfills its initiatives aimed at digitalizing the country.

The delegates shared experiences and exchanged ideas on the best regulatory practices and committed to creating a regulatory environment conducive to innovation while prioritizing the safety, privacy, and rights of digital users worldwide.
