Prominent Kampala  Court bailiff Moses Kirunda has been arraigned before the General Court Martial and charged afresh with Murder.

He was jointly charged with a UPDF soldier Major Nelson Marks Kyatuka attached to CMI Headquarters in Mbuya after the Director of Public Prosecutions dismissed the said charges against the two before the Nakawa chief magistrate Court,  to give room for the two to be charged in the army Court.

After the DPP ordered for their release,  they were rearrested and driven to the Army Court were they appeared before the  seven member team  chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti and pleaded not guilty to the said offence. 

Prosecution states that the two and others still at large on July  14th 2021, at Kitanzi zone, Lungujja, Rubaga Divison in Kampala district, with malice aforethought unlawfully murdered one   Magid Mugwanya.

They have further been remanded to Kitalya government prison until the 4th of October 2021 as investigations continues. End.
