Provide Justice To All Ugandan;Chief Justice tells Judges
- The CJ made the call during the annual Judges Conference .

The Chief Justice of Uganda Alifonse Owinyi Dollo has described the appointment of new judges as a boost to the Judiciary in the exercise of their mandate to render justice to all people, .
He made the remarks while opening the annual Judges conference in Kampala on Monday.
This Years Annual Judges Conference was running under the theme "The Administration of Judiciary Act and Sustainable Transformation of the Judiciary.
The conference is used b the Judiciary to subject themselves to self appraisal in regard to their performance in delivering justice to Ugandans.
Speaking at the function this morning at the Judiciary Headquarters in Kampala, Justice Dollo noted that the this years theme is meant to see that justice seekers attain the needed justice in a much cherished dependable ease of access to Justice.
He further revealed that this years Judiciary budget was increased from 199 to 376 billion which enabled them to register commendable accomplishments to ensure that the people enjoy meaningful access to justice.
The Chief Justice revealed that President Museveni agreed to have their budget enhanced to 800 bn as proposed by the Judiciary which will be reached thorough progressive enhancement by the Ministry of finance and that this financial year. According to the CJ , th is will enable them increase the High Court coverage in the country by Operationalizing the functioning of six new court circuits including Moroto,Iganga,Luwero ,Hoima and Rukuningiri on top of renovating other courts including the Judiciary Headquarters.
He said that with the enhancement of their budget, more judges and Magistrates have been recruited and that the Judicial Service Commission is in the process of recruiting more to work in the new courts.

He noted that although they are committed to provide justice to the people, fully access to justice can only be achieved when all stakeholders are in.
"However, fully attaining access to justice will depend on all the government agencies like DPP and Police, JSC, UHRC and other JLOS institutions to be appropriately strengthened to perform their respective responsibilities."
According to the CJ their focus was to ensure that justice is easily and effectively accessible by every person in this Country noting that the Government had already demonstrated to them, its commitment towards realizing these aspirations .
