The Police driver who knocked one of Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s supporter has been arrested by the Police Standards unit.
The director in charge of public relations Andrew Felix Kaweesi has identified the driver as Constable Benon Masiko attached to Kiira road police station.
He was captured on video when he knocked a pedestrian who was standing by the road side in Kalerewe as on the day Dr. Besigye was released from jail last month.
Kaweesi is now appealing to the victim to file a statement with police so that the culprit is disciplined.
