Better roads for Gulu

By Alice Lubwama

The Japanese government has extended a grant of 20 million dollars to Uganda to improve roads in Gulu town.

Speaking after signing the agreement today, finance minister Matia Kasaija asked the ministry of works to fulfill all the obligations to ensure that construction of Gulu municipal council roads is not delayed.

The money will be used to repair major roads in Gulu and building water drainage among other things in a bid to stimulate the economy of Gulu as a business hub for Northern Uganda.
