Mwanga 11 magistrates court has further  remanded   at Luzira prison  Herbert Kaddu who allegedly  threatened to attack the Bishop of Namirembe Diocese Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira as he was giving this year's  Easter service.
This  follows the Luzira Prison Official's failure to bring the suspect to court in time.
Today Kaddu was to  hear his bail application but this did not take place because he was brought at the court when grade one magistrate Julius Mwesigye had already adjourned his case to a later date.
Kaddu  has been remanded until the 14th of May this year .
34 year old Herbet Solomon Kaddu a Tour and travel driver and a  resident of Mackay Zone in Mengo Lubaga division was on the 4th of April charged with three  counts of disturbing religious assemblies and denied the charges.
He is charged with threatening violence by intending  to annoy or injure Bishop Luwalira  and Rev. Canon Benon Kityo ; the dean of Namirembe Diocese.
Meanwhile a police medical  report adduced in court also disputed claims by Kaddu's family member in which they had claimed that he was mentally unstable but the report  instead declared him  sane and fit to stand trial.
Prosecution led Roselyn Kipora states that on 1st  of April 2017 during  an  Easter service at Namirembe  Cathedral,  Kaddu while armed with a stick and a sack cloth ,  threatened to attack Bishop Luwalira amidst the congregation .
The Bishop is said to have been  miraculously saved by a bar at the alter which trapped Kaddu  causing him to fall down and later whisked off by worshipers.
