City socialite Brian Kirumira commonly known as Bryn White has been summoned by the commercial court to defend himself on alleged failure to clear a 500million Uganda shillings debt on his Mercedes Benz cross country car Registration number UBA 063J.
This is after a one Alex Binyenda dragged Bryn white to court in July this year accusing him of failing to pay all the 900million shillings for the Benz he had sold to him on the 15th of May this same year.
Binyende claims that out of the 260,000 US dollars, Bryn White only paid 100,000 US dollars equivalent to only 300 million Uganda shillings living a balance of 160,000 US dollars.
Binyende further claims that his efforts to have Bryn White clear the remaining 500million shillings for the car in his possession have proved futile forcing him to seek legal redress.
He is now seeking court to order Bryn White to clear the balance at a 25% interest claiming that Bryn White has deprived him of his right to use his money since May.
Commercial court Deputy registrar Festo Nsenga has now ordered Bryn white to appear in court within 10 days to defend himself.
The Mercedes Benz was also impounded by police after the security operatives raided Bryn white's home accusing him of acquiring the Benz through fraudulent means.
