RUBiS Energy Uganda, has unveiled seven new Rubis branded service stations across Uganda in a bid to bring its products and services closer to more Ugandans.

During the new Rubis stations commissioning ceremony at Rubis Makerere, Olivier Gatera the Country Manager said that the re-brand of the stations formerly Kobil and Delta is a reflection of the heavy investment RUBiS has made to provide for a convenient fuelling and shopping experience that is environmentally safe.

“We have upgraded the fueling systems and structures above and below the ground to ensure consistently high-quality fuel. The upgraded stations are fully compliant with environmental, safety and statutory requirements. A total of 24 are now fully branded”, Gatera noted.

The new and revamped stations include; RUBiS Kawempe, Makerere, Bwebajja, Kasubi, Jinja Highway, Jinja Town, Buwenge, and Seeta.

In Uganda, RUBiS so far has a network of 53 stations and according to Gatera their products are technologically advanced and of high quality.

“It is in this line, that we introduced our advanced fuel technology, RUBiS Ultra Tec which is designed to thoroughly clean the car engine, and enhance car performance and efficiency while saving customers money at no extra cost. It is available in Petrol and Diesel countrywide,” he added.

When asked about quality control measures available at their fuel stations in the wake of cases of adulterated fuel, a vice that has plagued the sector, it was revealed that each station on a daily basis confirms that the fuel adheres to minimum standards and that the Uganda Bureau of Standards is often notified before a truck is offloaded to ensure the fuel meets the standards of the Ugandan market.

Rebecca Nassiwa, the Marketing and Communications Manager, highlighted that RUBiS has unveiled a one-month MAFUTA Hour campaign where fuel is discounted every Friday and Saturday at selected RUBiS stations, and in addition, lucky motorists who fuel from any of the launched sites stand a chance to win themselves full tanks for their cars.

At a time when there is a significant spike in global fuel and gas prices worldwide, the management urged motorists to switch to the cleaner fuel RUBiS Ultra Tec and get more mileage from each liter of Rubis Ultra Tec consumed.

According to Rubis Uganda officials, they are still on plan with their market objectives so far about 21 million dollars have been invested and 50% of stations being rebranded.
